Made for recessed escutcheons with an inside diameter smaller than 1 15/16".
Escutcheon extension rings are commonly referred to as expansion plates, extender rings, or escutcheon expander plates are used to extend the existing escutcheon out to cover holes in the ceiling that are larger than the existing escutcheon. These can be installed around the escutcheon.
These are an easy alternative to having to repair the ceiling.
Verify that your existing escutcheon inside diameter is smaller than 1 15/16" in order to fit inside this ring.
